Mrs. Abigail Adams
Abby Adams is thrilled to be the new technology teacher at Brookfield Christian. Abby attended Concordia University of Wisconsin, where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in English with a double minor in Marketing and Public Relations. She is now finishing her Masters in Educational Technology. She and her husband Robin married in June of 2011. Her husband teaches middle school at St. John’s Lutheran in Racine.
Abby wanted to be a teacher since she was a little girl. She changed her major in college towards a different direction, but God steered her back to where she needed to be by presenting this beautiful opportunity at BCS. There is nothing she enjoys more than working with children.
Their innocence, honesty, and fresh perspective on life always keep Abby smiling. By combining her technical background and the new computer equipment in the lab, she aims to help her students become worldlier by adapting them to the rapidly expanding technology yet encouraging them to conduct their computer use in a Christian manner.
Mrs. Adams’ Mission Statement:
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you” (Jeremiah 29:11). I believe in this verse now more than ever after seeing how the Lord has worked in my life. Your plans for your life are often different from His plan for you. When he gently leads you down the path He wants you to take, you will know and suddenly your plans seem insignificant.
“Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others” (Philippians 2:3-4). When there seems to be so much going on in our lives, we tend to get caught up in our own interests; neglecting the needs of others around us. I am guilty of that just as much as anyone. My goal is to put the needs of others before my own starting with my students.
