Ms. Steph Haupt
Steph Haupt came to BCS in 2010 to teach K-8 art. She aspires to brighten the eyes of children through the visual discovery of God’s creation, and strives to emphasize the importance the arts have in a child’s overall development. Along with teaching K-8 art, she also has the privilege of teaching 6th grade Bible where she demonstrates her love for our Lord.
Steph attended Concordia University Wisconsin where she received a BA in K-12 Art Education. Her studies through college have also taken her overseas where she spent a semester studying in Florence, Italy and Paris, France. She has attended Christian schools her entire life: K-8 at St. Paul’s Lutheran in West Allis and Martin Luther High School. Upon graduation from college she moved to Phoenix, AZ and taught for two years at Cross of Christ Christian School in Anthem, AZ and one year at Joy Christian in Glendale, AZ. While teaching at Cross of Christ she started a ‘Women’s Sport’s Ministry’ and led a group of women to the bottom of the Grand Canyon twice in one year. She was also a leader in her church’s ‘Mentoring Ministry’ program. Steph made the decision to move back to Wisconsin, and arrived three weeks before her niece, Paige, was born.
In her free time, Steph enjoys spending time with her niece, reading, playing tennis, running, hiking and most outdoor activities. She nurtures her creativity through various art media, such as painting, drawing and stained glass.
