Mrs. Liz Fox

• BA – Cross Categorical Special Education, Trinity Christian College and Columbia College

Mrs. Liz Fox serves as our Director of Student Support Services. She joined the BCS staff during the 2016-17 school year as an Instructional Aide after serving as a Special Education Specialist at Cross Trainers Academy in Milwaukee and a regular substitute teacher. Liz graduated with a Bachelors in Special Education from Columbia College in Columbia, SC.

Mrs. Fox and her husband have four children and the family attends Brookfield Christian Reformed Church.  All four children attend or have graduated from BCS.  She enjoys traveling, baking, reading and music.

“It is a joy for me to help students develop and discover their God-given gifts. Every student comes with a unique set of strengths and challenges, and we work toward personalized goals to help them succeed in the classroom.  I’ve found that teaching is both a sprint and a marathon. While I certainly love the ‘Aha’ moments – especially when a student overcomes a personal challenge with focus and individualized support – I also really appreciate the long, hard slog that comes with walking alongside a student for days, months, even years, and seeing them grow in skill and confidence!”

Philippians 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  This verse is a favorite for Mrs. Fox, “Working with children is a blessing, but it’s also hard work. This passage reminds me that facing each day with the Lord, and a smile, is a must!”

When asked what she loves most about BCS, Mrs. Fox says, “I love that BCS is grounded in Scripture, and infuses everything it does with faith and excellence. From academics and extracurricular, BCS helps students grow into well-rounded Christians who have a transforming influence on God’s world.”
