Please join us in the Brookfield Christian School cafeteria at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15 for our Fall Parent Education Night. The event is free and open to all parents in the community. Invite a friend! We will be hosting a discussion on child and adolescent anxiety.
We live in a world where students face more and more pressure and stress at ever younger ages. As parents, it can be challenging to discern when a child’s anxiety is more than just typical childhood worries. Dr. Paul Veldhouse, a BCS parent and pediatrician with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, and Elizabeth Austin, a primary therapist at Rogers Memorial Hospital Child and Adolescent Center, will be sharing their insights into childhood anxiety and how to support your children as they grow and develop. A time for questions and answers will follow their presentation.

Apple Pie Day 2015 is in the books, and we can’t thank all of our volunteers enough! We had a great day of making our “famous” BCS Apple Pies with families, staff, alumni and friends of the school. We made 4100 pies in about 13 hours, and all but about 500 have already been sold! If you’s like a pie, stop by the BCS office between 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. or ask your favorite BCS student to help you out! Pies are $15, bags of Empire apples are $5 (bring your own bag), and buckets of topping are $5 while supplies last.
If you missed the Parent Forum we cohosted with Brookfield Christian Reformed Church this week, you can still listen online! Check out the BCS Blog for a link to the audio and accompanying slides, as well as the youth ministry report from Pastor Brandon Haan. Be sure to watch the website and our Facebook page for details on our next Parent Forum in the Spring.
Congratulations to Brookfield Christian School Middle School Teacher Ryan Dekker on winning Trending Radio 93.3 Teacher of the Year! With continued interested in our 4K program for next year, we will be adding a second class of 4K for the 2015-’16 school year. The Brookfield Christian School 4K program will be 4 mornings per week (8:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) with the option to extend to full days (until 3:15 p.m.). Contact us for more information, or to schedule a time to visit BCS.
In case you missed it, Brookfield Christian School 4th Graders were on WISN 12 News the other night! The students raised nearly $900 to purchase pajamas and slippers for patients at Children’s Hospital by selling an assortment of homemade items at school. The students wrapped the gifts themselves, and then delivered the packages to Children’s this week.

There will be a brief program and video presentation in the gym at 4:00 p.m.

Hors d’oeuvres will be served. YOUR RSVP BY MAY 3rd IS APPRECIATED. Additional invitations are available in the school office. Please feel free to pass along to alumni and supporters who may not have been on our mailing list.
Celebrating God’s faithfulness for the past 50 years and trusting His goodness for the future, Brookfield Christian School (BCS) broke ground on Friday on a third building expansion project. Students and staff were joined by hundreds of members of the BCS family for the ceremony.
Brookfield Christian School congratulates Samuel Konings of the BCS Class of 2010 on being named a semifinalist in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. Samuel, a student at Milwaukee Lutheran High School, was one of only 350 students from Wisconsin to be named a Semifinalist. Approximately 16,000 Semifinalists nationwide will continue in the competition for some 8,000 National Merit Scholarships worth around $35 million to be offered in the spring. Congratulations, Samuel!
