Mrs. Slaber has been a friendly face around the halls of BCS for many years. She is an instrumental music teacher and the 5K – 2nd grade Music Teacher. Mrs. Slaber is married and has three grown children. She and her husband attend Cornerstone Presbyterian Church (PCA). In her free time, Mrs. Slaber enjoys reading both non-fiction and historical fiction and watching historical documentaries. She also enjoys accompanying vocalists, instrumentalists; playing for worship services and singing in the Milwaukee Area Messiah chorus.

Mrs. Slaber’s favorite passage of Scripture is Isaiah 40: 28-31, “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Mrs. Slaber says, “It points out some of the reasons why God is so great, and that He will always uphold us in all the ups and downs of life. He is sovereign, powerful, beyond our understanding, yet He cares for us.”

When asked what she loves most about BCS, Mrs. Slaber says, “The supportive community. The teachers and staff care about the kids – their spiritual, academic and physical well-being – and they show that in multitudes of ways.”
