Miss Alli Wassink joined the BCS staff as part of our Kindergarten team in the fall of 2022. She came to BCS with experience co-teaching in early childhood schools, serving as the Director of a summer day camp program in Michigan, and leading a Backyard Bible Club through her church for four summers.

When she's not teaching, she loves hiking, biking, reading, painting (anything artsy!), trying new foods, and spending time with her loved ones. She is always open to trying something new or learning hobbies from the people around her.

Alli says, "I am excited to continue growing and learning as an educator! I can already tell that this community is incredibly special. God's presence and love is so evident in the BCS staff and community, and I am so excited to be a part of it."  She came to know about BCS from her college roommate and friend, a BCS alum!

Her favorite passage of scripture is Romans 15:13 - "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."  She says, "A few years ago, I read this verse and felt very convicted to memorize it so I could keep it in my heart wherever I went. That following week, I came across this verse everywhere...on people’s fridges, as the verse of the day on my phone, etc. I think I saw it 5+ times throughout that week. I like to think that this was God's confirmation and encouragement to me for listening to His nudge to put His word in my heart. In times where I feel discouraged and hopeless, I whisper these words, remembering that the Holy Spirit lives in me and keeps hope alive."
