Kirsten Wright has been an invaluable resource to the BCS community since she joined the team in the fall of 2020. She serves as a Licensed Professional Counselor and works with students, parents and teachers to support students' holistic development, mental health and wellness. She also supports our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum from a faith-based perspective for students in Grades 3K-8, and teaches the middle school SEL class. For enjoyment, Mrs. Wright loves working on DIY projects, reading a good book, crafting and sewing. You also might find her playing softball, volleyball and kickball with friends and family. She and her husband attend Epikos Church, and live with their two daughters and golden doodle in Brookfield, WI.

Kirsten says, "BCS is a wonderful community for many reasons, but I think one of the most appealing qualities about BCS is its authenticity and focus on developing the whole person. I believe one of the purposes of Christian education is to guide students towards becoming more of who God designed for them to be so that they might emulate Christ. I’m excited to be a part of this community to develop future leaders who understand themselves as uniquely created beings and who confidently can proclaim who they are in Christ so they can go out and do His good works!"

Her favorite verse in the Bible is 2 Corinthians 12:9, which says: "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."  She says, "in this life we will have suffering, yet this verse challenges me to put my full trust in God and His goodness in all circumstances. I have found that it is often through pain that God reveals the most about Himself. When I acknowledge my own suffering and shortcomings, I then can more clearly see my need for dependence on Him. I can let go of fear and control, allowing God’s grace to shine through. For me, this surrender and trust in God, is the starting point to living out God’s will in my life with grace and truth."
