Mrs. Lynn Veldhouse

Middle School Math and Science Instructor

• Joined the BCS staff in 2018
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education Mathematics from Dordt College, Masters in Educational Leadership from the University of Sioux Falls, Nationally Board Certified in teaching math to adolescents 

We first met Mrs. Veldhouse when her family enrolled at BCS in 2010.  She later joined our staff in 2018, aiding and assisting.  She returned as our middle school math and science teacher in the fall of 2024. She says, “I love that everything at BCS is rooted in and flows from Scripture. Everything we do, from academics to how we treat each other, is informed and shaped by what the Bible has to say.” 

Her favorite passage of scripture is Philippians 1:6, which says: “being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to bring it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.”  Lynn says, “I love this verse because it highlights that Jesus does everything we need for us. He begins the good work in us and He also promises to finish it.” 

You might find her playing piano, reading, or playing board games when she’s not at school.  Lynn and her family live in Brookfield and attend Brookfield CRC.
